If you're a veteran, and are looking for some free legal advice - the Veterans Outreach Center in Utica can help.

The Legal Aid Society of Mid-New York, Inc., The Oneida County Bar Association and the Central New York Veterans Outreach Center have teamed up to offer a “Veterans Talk to a Lawyer Series,” sponsored with funding from the New York State Bar Foundation.

The areas covered will include custody, child support, visitation, and divorce. Beyond family and marital issues, veterans can also ask for advice about bankruptcy and debt,
landlord and tenant rights and foreclosures, as well as wills, health care proxies, living wills and any other civil legal issue.

There is no cost to attend. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 16 from 2pm - 4pm at the CNY Veteran's Outreach Center, at 726 Washington Street, Utica. You can call 315-765-975 to reserve an appointment.
