Hollywood Foreign Press President Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly Proves She’s Boss at the 2013 Golden Globes

Normally when awards show officials are trotted out on stage, they look uncomfortable about being there and we're all "yeah yeah, get on with it" because no one really wants to see them anyway.

But, as usual, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association does things a little differently.

"In the film 'The Hunger Games,' one boy and one girl from each district are selected to fight to the death in an outdoor arena until the final survivor is named the winner," announced 2013 Golden Globes host Tina Fey told the crowd by way of introduction. "That's the same process by which the HFPA picks their President."

Fey and co-host Amy Poehler then welcomed Dr. Aida Takla-O'Reilly to the stage, and in her short, less-than-three minute speech, Takla-O'Reilly proved herself a lot more interesting than anyone thought she'd be.

Immediately, Takla-O'Reilly asked the cameras to pan the crowd so the world would be able to see the talent in the audience. But once she noticed the cameras hadn't moved, she grew a bit stern, saying, "Did you move?"

"It has been an honor to serve as the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association thiese past two years," said Takla-O'Reilly. "As I disappear into the delta twilight I will never forget the chance I've had to work with you. I'm relieved to know that I would be remembered. I know that Jeffrey Katzenberg will never forget my name because he never knew it in the first place."

Oooh. The producer and CEO of DreamWorks Animation must have some Golden Globes history of which we're unaware.

But then the older woman let her (relatively reserved) freak flag fly.

"And in closing, allow me to say three little words to Bradley Cooper ... Call me, maybe?" she asked, before exiting the stage in hormonally-charged triumph.
