Katy Perry will hit the ‘American Idol‘ stage this Thursday, April 26. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Part of Me’ singer will perform on the elimination show, which is the second part of the show’s Queen tribute.

This isn’t Perry’s first ‘American Idol’ rodeo. She was a guest judge in season nine. In season eight, Perry performed and wore an endorsement for then-contestant Adam Lambert on her back. It appears she was on to something, as Lambert went on to perform with Queen later on, despite not being the season’s victor.

The purple-haired singer will not be the only star to hit the stage. Stefano Langone will perform his debut single, ‘I’m on a Roll,’ and the Queen Extravaganza will pay tribute to the ‘We Will Rock You’ legends.

The episode is a perfect fit for Perry, who happens to be a huge fan of Queen. She dressed as Freddie Mercury on her 24th birthday in 2008 (her big day is October 25, so her soiree was a costumed event). She also serenaded the late legendary frontman on what would have been his 65th birthday in a YouTube video.

Hopefully the fun performance will cheer Perry, who’s been rumored to be pining for ex Russell Brand, up!
