Kelly Clarkson + Lionel Richie Join ABC’s ‘Duets’ Singing Competition

Is there room for another singing competition on TV?  ABC thinks so, as they've announced the singing competition, 'Duets.'  Starring Kelly Clarkson, Lionel Richie, Jennifer Nettles from Sugerland and Robin Thicke, the premise of 'Duets' will be the superstar musician/mentors pairing with the contestants on duet performances.

The show sends

Clarkson, Nettles, Richie and Thicke ... search[ing] for talent across the country before ultimately choosing two singers as their duet partners. Each week, the stars and their protégés will perform and the eventual winner will get a recording contract with Hollywood Records.
"The simple fact that I get to go out and find two people that I believe in, sing with them every week, and help them accomplish their dream is an amazing thing that I can't wait to be a part of," said Clarkson.
