Kelly Ripa Signs On for Five More Years of ‘Live!’

Regis Philbin may be exiting ‘Live!’ in a couple weeks, but Kelly Ripa is staying put.
The 41-year-old actress and host, who celebrated a decade with the show in February, just signed a new five-year contract with Disney-ABC Domestic Television that will begin when her current deal expires late next year.
Philbin’s departure from the popular daily syndicated talk show means Ripa will be going it alone for a while, joined by a slew of guest co-hosts, such as Jerry Seinfeld, while the search continues for Philbin’s permanent replacement.
But before that happens, his final week on the show will be feted with an array of guests including David Letterman and former ‘Live!’ co-host Kathie Lee Gifford.
