On Friday October 2, the soundtrack for this holiday season's Hugh Jackman-starring Peter Pan flick, Pan, was released. While the release of a film score album might not be all that exciting to the pop crowd under typical circumstances, it just so happens that this particular soundtrack features not one, but two new songs by British pop darling Lily Allen.

And you know what? They're both pretty great!

The two original songs, "Little Soldiers" and "Something's Not Right," were written for the film, and feature musical production by Keane keyboardist and lyricist Tim Rice-Oxley. They also mark the first batch of new music from Lily since releasing her 2014 album Sheezus. (Fun fact: Back in November of 2013, Lily covered Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know," written by Tim, for a British Christmas advertisement. Her saccharine cover version hit No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart. These two are just magical together!)

As for her Pan contributions, the first track, "Something's Not Right," is a sparse, sweet, and somewhat sad ballad, an emotional lullaby assisted by twinkling piano flourishes that showcase Lily's sugary vocals beautifully.

The second track however, "Little Soldier," is a bit more exciting, though no less pretty, and also happens to be the contagious song that was featured in the film's original trailer. With playful tribal beats and somewhat tropical production, the song plays as a whimsical anthem for the Lost Boys of Neverland. It's upbeat, catchy, and—although tragically short at only 2:37 minutes—contains the perfect sprinkling of pixie dust.
