Little Mix sure are taking their sweet time releasing their forthcoming third album Get Weird, but according to the girls themselves, it'll be well worth the painstaking wait.

According to a recent interview with Chart Show TV, Jesy confirmed the group's excitement for their new record. "We love that we’ve taken our time with this album, because we really, honestly feel like this is our best album, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it."

She elaborated further on the sound, saying that while their first single "Black Magic" is a good look at how they've progressed sound-wise, the truth is they've taken influences from all over the musical spectrum on their upcoming release.

"Well, the whole album is influenced by different genres of music. I think 'Black Magic’ is very ‘80s, and theres a bit of ‘60s-era going on in the album. It’s all different, but it is a very pop album, very happy, very uplifting album," she said.

And while it looks like there aren't any guest stars on the album as of right now, the group admits that if they could collaborate with any celebrity, it would be Nicki Minaj.

In other Little Mix news, Jesy is now the second member of the group to get engaged, following Perrie Edwards' engagement to Zayn Malik back in 2013. Her boyfriend, Jake Roche of the band Rixton, proposed to her yesterday (July 19) after less than a year of dating.

According to Billboard, Ed Sheeran performed the song "Tenerife Sea" during Little Mix's soundcheck while Jake proposed on one knee. (So traditional.)

You can check out a photo of the exact moment all of this went down in the Instagram post above.

Are you happy for Jesy and Jake? Do you think they'll have an indefinitely long engagement, a la Perrie and Zayn? Should the two couples maybe have a joint wedding, or is that a horrendous idea? Do you think this will delay the release of Get Weird even further?
