Remember how much fun it was to take pictures with the Polaroid camera?

It was as easy as take the picture, the camera spit out a photo, you shake it like a Polaroid and bam (pretty much) instant photo.

Polaroid has just announced the Polaroid Snap. A modern version of the old instant camera. It's a digital camera that quickly prints out a wallet size photo with no ink needed.

The Polaroid Snap uses technology developed by ZINK. The camera uses special printing paper that has dye crystals under a protective polymer coating. The ZINK-enabled printer uses heat to activate the crystals resulting in a high quality, smudge-proof, long-lasting picture.

You need to purchase the paper, which, by the way, have adhesive backs so it is also a sticker. 50 packs are available on Amazon for $24.99.

According to Polaroid:

The Polaroid Snap is a 10MP digital instant camera with an integrated printer using ZINK® Zero Ink Printing Technology, enabling users to instantly print full color, 2x3” prints automatically when an image is captured. Thanks to its quick print abilities, consumers can shoot new images even while the Polaroid Snap is printing. Additionally, the camera features a Micro SD card slot that holds up to 32GB to save and easily transfer and upload images to a computer, cloud service or social media platform.
