Yesterday Jim O’Brien and Eric MacDiarmid from the Adirondack Ice Bowl gave us the details regarding the 7th Annual Adirondack Ice Bowl. We visited The F.X. Matt Brewery and learned that the 2015 AIB will be held at the Woods Inn in Inlet, NY, Friday January 23rd through Sunday the 25th.
Even though summer is still a few weeks away on the calendar, the Memorial Day holiday weekend is traditionally seen at the traditional start of the summer season. It's a time of year when 'camps up north' get opened up for the season. Maybe it's warm enough for a dip in a lake or pool. Not this 2013 Memorial Day Weekend in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks.
This weekend thousands of hot air balloon enthusiasts and spectators converged on Northeastern New York for the 40th Adirondack Balloon Festival. Held from Thursday through Sunday in both Glens Falls and Queensbury, the event draws more than 100 hot air balloons.
