When you head to the theater to see 'Guardians of the Galaxy' this weekend, you'll undoubtedly walk out with a favorite character: the surprisingly lovable Groot, the foul-mouthed Rocket Raccoon, the charismatic Star-Lord, the tough but hilarious Drax -- or maybe you'll fall in love with Zoe Saldana's green-skinned, badass Gamora. With all that screen time shared between so many heroes (and villains, and peripheral characters), it'll leave you wanting to see more of Gamora and her talents. Not that that's a bad thing.

Remember how we got to see 17 minutes of Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' out in theaters next week? While we could only show you a few snippets of what we saw at the time, a new five-minute clip from the film debuted online that reveals more from that IMAX sneak peek.

'Guardians of the Galaxy' has already begun screening for press and the early word is that it's good, lives up to the hype, is the kind of movie that 'Star Wars' prequels should have been and so on and so forth. And that's all well and good, but this is a Marvel Studios movie so we have one big question: what about the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' post-credits scene...

Is it August 1 yet? Almost! But while we wait (impatiently) for the release of Marvel's intergalactic superhero epic 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' today brings a new featurette exploring the background and motives of the Guardians' green-skinned and deadly assassin, Gamora.

On Monday night, July 7, Marvel teamed with the folks at IMAX to screen 17 minutes of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' for fans ahead of the film's August 1 release. Tickets and seating were first come, first served, so you can imagine the turnout, but we were there to take in all the never-before-seen footage. And boy, was there a lot to take in. Directed by James Gunn, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' stars Chris Pratt as the thief-turned-hero Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as assassin Gamora, Dave Bautista as the crazed Drax The Destroyer, Bradley Cooper as the trigger-happy Rocket and Vin Diesel as the tree of a few words Groot, as they band together to stop the villains plans of Thanos and Ronan The Accuser. We know, we know. We can hardly wait for 'Guardians of the Galaxy' to hit theaters, either, so we'll just have to settle for more TV spots, but here's the good news: we have not just one, but two new TV spots today, and both of them feature a little new footage from the film -- you know, in case you were tired of watching the same trailers over and over again, and you probably are.

The past few 'Guardians of the Galaxy' trailers have done well in teasing Marvel's upcoming space opera with a star-studded cast, humor galore and one catchy tune ("Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Swede). But now's the time to set aside the comedy and go for some goosebump-inducing, explosive and just plain riveting new footage ... with a few jokes thrown in on the side.

Hands down, Rocket Raccoon and Groot are the heart and soul of Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy.' Voiced by Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, respectively, the fury gunslinger with an attitude and the Ent on steroids are big selling points for this intergalactic adventure, and they two grace the first of a slew of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' posters to come.

It's time to start getting really excited for 'Guardians of the Galaxy.' While the past two months have brought us superhero movies like 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' (with varying results), we mustn't forget that there's still a big one on the way in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and what better way to remind yourself of this summer's other entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with this fantastic new trailer.

August seriously cannot get here soon enough, and while we've still got plenty of summer blockbusters to get through before we get to James Gunn and Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' we've got two more new pics from the upcoming movie to help us bide the time.
