Taylor Swift Attempts Beatboxing in 2012 Grammys Promo
Taylor Swift is a lot of things, but she’s no LL Cool J. Understandably, as a pop/country-singing ‘Love Story’ starlet, T-Swizzle is just a little lacking in the rap category, as is proven in a new 2012 Grammys promo where she attempts to beatbox. And fails. Miserably.
In yet another new ad for next weekend’s Grammy Awards, Swift is shown with host LL Cool J in her Sunday best, all ready for the big red carpet event. This clip, however, is much unlike the ones it follows, as it debuts a talent we had no idea Taylor Swift had: beatboxing skills.
As it turns out, she doesn’t have those skills at all, and that’s what makes this new ad so hilarious. LL Cool J lays down the beat for the 22-year-old ‘Speak Now’ hitmaker, but when it’s time for her to pick up on her end, she falls flat and just makes weird nasally noises with her mouth.
We’re loving these giant Gramophone around-the-watercooler-style style clips, and can’t wait to see more of this lady and her newfound iconic rap friend on Feb. 12 live on CBS. Who needs ‘Les Miserables‘ anyway, right Tay?
