The 6 Best Places to Work in Central New York?
The results are back from a survey of workers across New York State, and six CNY companies rank among the state’s top ones for their atmospheres for employees. Categories factoring into the survey included engagement, job satisfaction, benefits, policies and workplace demographics.
The folks at the Best Companies to Work For in NY website grouped the businesses according to company size into three subsections: Small companies (16-99 employees), Medium companies (100-249 employees) and Large companies with at least 250 employees. Two of the companies from Central New York making the list hail from Oneida County and the others are in the Syracuse area.
-Sturges Manufacturing, located in Utica, is a leader in the production of straps and webbing.
-CenterState CEO, based in Syracuse, focuses on business and economic development for the region.
-Terakeet, located in Syracuse, started as an idea in a Cornell University dorm room and has thrived as a recruiter and provider of great marketing solutions to help businesses grow.
-Hayner Hoyt in Syracuse is a top dog in commercial construction.
-Empower Federal Credit Union, based in Syracuse, is the successful amalgamation of several credit unions, chiefly Empire and Power, which was founded in 1939 by nine employees of what was then CNY Power Corporation/Niagara Mohawk (currently National Grid).
