Top 5 Creative, Last Minute, and Inexpensive Halloween Costumes
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that Halloween can be a costly Holiday. Thankfully, we've got some budget conscious and creative solutions to this dilemma.
Why is this Witch mask $52.00? Why in the world is this Ghost costume that's basically a sheet with holes in it $41.00? And what the heck? How come this tiny princess costume made of latex $61.00? You get the picture; Halloween costume shopping is no longer cheap! If you're in a time crunch, here are a few last minute ideas.
1. Bag of Jelly Beans
Start by cutting holes in a clear trash bag for the arms and legs. Next use a Sharpie to write out the nutritional information on the back (like on the back of a box of candy.) Inflate several colored balloons and put them in the bag. Use a ribbon to tie off the bag around your neck.
2. Bath Puff
Purchase some tulle at the fabric store and pin it to your t-shirt underneath. Wear some matching leggings, tights, and shorts to pair with the puff. Walk around with an empty shampoo or body wash container.
3. Jelly Fish
Get a clear umbrella and shred some toilet paper or buy some white streamers. Then drape the paper over the umbrella. Wear a white t-shirt, coupled with white shorts or pants underneath.
4. Eye-Pad
It may be a play on words, but I saw this on someone last Halloween and it worked. Grab a pair of glasses, write "eye-pad" in black marker on a post it note, and stick it to the lenses. I know it's silly, but this will come in handy if you find yourself in a crunch.
5. Werewolf
Wear your regular clothes and explain to others that Halloween didn't fall on a full moon.
