Two CNY Towns in Top 25 Best Places To Buy a Home in NY

Buying a house is a huge investment, so you want to be sure you pick the right place. Two of the best places to buy a home in New York State are right here in Central New York.

Niche.com ranks the best places to buy homes across the United States based on a variety of factors in a location’s real estate market, including home values, taxes, crime rates, and quality of local schools.

Hamilton ranks #16 out of 810 communities evaluated by Niche.com. The village of Hamiton has an overall grade of A+, and ranks #43 out of 813 Best Places to Live. Hamilton is home to Colgate University and has a population of just over 4,000.

Fayetteville ranks #19 out of 810 and also receives an overall grade of A+. Fayetteville ranks #45 out of 809 best places to raise a family in New York State. The Village of Fayetteville has a population of around 4,300.

Even though it just missed the Top 25, coming in at #26, Sherrill still gets honorable mention. The City of Sherrill has a population of just over 3,000.
