Hidden Utica History – Old Utica Daily Press Newspaper Box

The Utica Daily Press ceased publication in 1987 when the Observer Dispatch took over as Utica's sole newspaper. There are very few vestiges of the Daily Press remaining but we found one.

This old newspaper box is located at the Yorkville VFW.

There is another remnant of the old newspaper still left in town as well. The Utica Daily Press Building at 310-312 Main Street is listed as an historic building on the US National Register of Historic Places.
