Utica Police Officer Honored For Saving Child’s Life
One of our first responders was recognized by Mayor Palmieri today for saving the life of a little boy.
On June 23, a Utica boy, who suffers from an epileptic seizure disorder, lost consciousness. But a fast acting police officer named Chris Manion, came to the rescue and saved the child's life.
According to WKTV:
Officer Manion was among the first on the scene on the 1000 block of Columbia Street, and luckily, he's a trained paramedic. He determined that Mike had no pulse or heartbeat. He performed CPR. Mike regained his pulse upon arrival.
