What’s New at the Utica Children’s Museum

There have been lots of changes and improvements going on at the Utica Children's Museum. Looks like it's time for a trip with the kids to see what's new.

To start with, the Utica Children's Museum is under new management and adding new stuff to do every week. Trina Gigliotti has been working to bring new ideas and new partnerships into the museum, to make it a rewarding experience for both children and parents.

Sophie’s Café is one of the new activities and it's now open. Kids can pretend to take orders and make & serve food.! Plus, every Saturday in September, Fastrac Markets sponsors a pizza party for the kids, included with your paid admission. It will follow the activity of the day.

• Saturday, September 9th is "Second Saturday Science" - Professor Shahida Dar and her students from Mohawk Valley Community College bring hands-on science activities from 10am - 12 noon.
• Saturday, September 16th is free comic book day with Astonish Comics. Dress as your favorite superhero! This event takes place from 11am - 1pm.
• Saturday, September 23rd, Karate U.S.A. presents a free Karate Demo, a bullying class and a free kids’ karate class.The demonstration takes place from 12 noon - 1:30pm.

With new ideas and new activities, back to school is a great time to bring the little ones back to the Utica Children's Museum.
