"Wine in the Wilderness" makes its return to the Utica Zoo this June, and they've added something new to the already unique experience.

How would you like to sip on some delicious, local, flavorful wine (or maybe a beer), while watching the lions roam around? You could even enjoy a wine slushie as you watch the adorable Red Pandas climb and play. You can experience all this and more during the 18th Annual "Wine in the Wilderness" event on Saturday, June 3rd.

This year, the Utica Zoo has added the "Wine Enthusiast Tickets," which allows you to enter the event at 4pm (instead of 6pm for the general public). According to the Utica Zoo,  you'll get to enjoy the live music, food sampling, and of course wine tastings like usual, but you'll also get a crash-course in wine tasting education. The zoo will only be selling 300 of these tickets, so if these perks interest you, you won't want to wait to purchase yours.

General admission tickets will also be available, which allows you into the zoo at 6pm to enjoy wine tasting, wine slushies, beer, food, and live music. And of course the chance to see all the animals at a time when the park is usually closed.

If you are already a Utica Zoo Member, you'll get discounts on your tickets, and there are also discounted tickets for designated drivers. You can get more details on options available, pricing, and even purchase your tickets from UticaZoo.org/wine

Don't be late to the fun, either. The Utica Zoo says the first 2,000 attendees will receive a special Utica Zoo wineglass, thanks to Mohawk Valley Winery.
