Women Who Sit All Day Are At Risk

Here’s something scary for women: According to a new study, women who sit all day at desk jobs put their health at great risk. Scary right?

Researchers found that women who sit for more than six hours a day have a 37 percent increased risk of premature death, compared with 18 percent increase for men. Listen to the even more scary part, your diet doesn’t matter, the amount of exercise you get each day doesn’t matter. It doesn’t even matter if you smoke or not.

If you have a desk job, it’s really important to make small changes in your habits, such as mixing in stretches or hourly tasks that allow you to stand up and walk around.
