Fall Festivals, Shopping, Peace & More: 10 Fun Events Going On in Central New York This Weekend
Whether you want to get into the fall spirit with a corn maze or you want to do a little shopping and soak up some live music in Utica, there are a variety of great events going on this weekend.
And there's something for everyone. If you're looking for a high-energy event or you just want a low key, relaxing night, there's something you'll find on this list that fits you (and your family). Same with if you want to keep it a cheap weekend, or if you're willing to spend a little extra. Again, there's something for that as well.

The Guy's Expo at the F.X.Matt Brewery

It may be called the "Guy's Expo," but there's something for everyone at this family-friendly event, being presented by Lincoln Davies. Some of the demonstrations and attractions include the "World Arm Wrestling Championship," a shooting simulator from the Army National Guard, learning how to fly fish and bow hunting tricks, live chainsaw carving, and more. Oh, and you can take your turn in the Inflatable Jousting Ring, too. There will also be lots of local vendors and live music throughout the event. - 2

Stop by and see Lite 98.7 at the Walmart on Rome Taberg Road in Rome this Saturday.. Naomi Lynn will be broadcasting live from 10a to 12p, with tons of goodies to give away. Make sure you come by and spin the prize wheel. - 3
TEAL Walk in Whitesboro

The 3rd annual TEAL Walk is happening at Whitestown Town Park in Whitesboro. This walk raises funds in the fight against ovarian cancer and brings awareness to the deadly disease. Registration starts at 9am. There will also be raffles and activities before the opening ceremonies at 9:30am. The walk will begin at 10am. - 4
Fall Harvest Celebration at Critz Farms

Critz Farms wants to help you get into the fall spirit with their "Fall Harvest Celebration." You can get lost in their giant corn maze and go apple picking. There's a cow train ride for the kids, the Critz Critter Animal Area, a playground and tons more. It's the perfect, family-friendly fall outing. - 5
Wiggle Waggle Walk-A-Thon

Get your lovable best friend ready for an adventure in the park. Happening at the Kirkland Park in Clinton, it's the 25th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk-A-Thon that raises money for the Stevens-Swan Humane Society. Registration begins at 11am (or you can pre-register online ahead of the event). There will be live music, contests, raffles, demonstrations, activities for the kids, bounce houses, and lots of local vendors. Make sure you're around when Utica Comets' Mascot Audie stops by from 12p to 1p. - 6
Downtown Alley Shop and Music Showcase in Utica

It's part of the 2nd annual "Downtown Getdown," from Made in Utica. Spend the afternoon exploring Franklin Square for free. Of course, you're more than welcome to do a little shopping if you want. There will be live music, a variety of food vendors, a photo booth, a dunk tank, and BB Designs will have a hands-on mural. - 7
Inlet Fall Festival

It's the 24th Annual Fall Festival at Fern Park in Inlet. There will be over 50 vendors with a variety of goodies from candles and jewelry to furniture and food. Bring the whole family, there will also be kids activities, juggling, live music, and raffles. - 8
Utica International Day

Celebrate Love, Peace, and Unity at Utica's International Day at Hanna Park. This fun event includes live music and many attractions from places like the Children's Museum, the Refugee Center, and others. Plus lots of Utica-made food, a live art wall, and many crafters. - 9
Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Celebration

This "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day" celebration at the Celtic Harp is sure to be a party, and it's going to help a great cause. Money raised will be going to the Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse. This event is being put on by NY State Chive and 315K For the Cure. Come on by and enjoy live music, delicious food, and of course some great drink specials. - 10
Outdoor Movie at Franklin Square Alley

Head to Franklin Square Alley in Utica to see "Guardians of the Galaxy" outdoors. The event is free, but you may want to bring a few bucks to enjoy some delicious treats from Bite Bakery and Cafe. They do ask that you bring your own lawn chair as well, so you're nice and comfy for the movie.
