Townsquare Media is building the model modern media company and we are looking for a local leader to fill this high-profile position based in Utica/ Rome, New York. We are actively seeking the next rock star to direct our 5 brands, including Brand Management responsibilities for our legendary New Country station, Big Frog 104 (WFRG).

Responsibilities
- A clear vision for the future of local content in the Utica/Rome region.

- Leadership and ownership of our experienced teams and strong local brands on-air, online, and onsite
- Able to do a co-hosted show, voice track, or go live on one or more Townsquare radio stations when needed, vacation relief, sick days or in case of emergency, etc.
- Execute the Townsquare content publishing, and social media strategy and lead the team to implement them.
- Expertise with content creation and curation
- Ability to develop market-leading talent and create a positive culture where employees are engaged, especially when you can’t be in both markets simultaneously.
- Creating loyal fans that actively engage their audience on-air, online, and onsite
- Expertise in building programming clocks, music sequencing, and fundamentals of strategy and tactics designed to increase station time, time spent listening, and occasions
- Sound design and audio architecture writing creative, impactful audio elements for station imaging and client commercials and updating to keep fresh
- Creative in the development of unique content and multi-media strategies.
- Work with the sales team to provide solutions to clients and create monetizable programs.
- Attend other programming/sales meetings as requested
- Responsibility for the overall sound of all stations

Production Director/On-Air Talent - Utica, NY
Townsquare Media Utica is seeking a full-time dual position of production director and on-air talent. The ideal candidate will have radio/audio production experience and on-air experience.
Townsquare Media Utica, NY includes well-known brands like Big Frog 104, Lite 98.7, 96.1 The Eagle, 96.9 WOUR, and WIBX 950AM.
Production Director
We are looking for someone who is compelled to write entertaining commercial copy that tells a story and delivers results for our clients.
This person will work with the traffic and continuity department to ensure deadlines are met and paperwork is accurate. You will work with sales executives to get the best creative on the air and within set deadlines. You will work with voice talent to ensure a high standard of VO work and production, many times overseeing and coaching that voice work that you will produce to the finished product. You will collaborate with our clients in-studio on copywriting and coach them on voice work to get the best product possible. You will also work with Advertising Agencies as a recording studio resource.
You’ll have access to Adobe Audition, and Nexgen Automation and ample production resources will be at your disposal. You’ll be working in a high-performing and market-leading media environment. Your primary focus will be to serve our commercial clients and oversee audio production, and if you have digital video skills, that would be a plus.
Requirements

On-Air Talent
Applicants must be social media savvy, regularly contribute content to the station’s website and engage our audience on-air and online. Also, the successful candidate must be able to connect and engage with the station’s target audience by keeping up with relevant trends and pop culture. Responsibilities
- Must have superior knowledge of current events and the ability to create radio topics based on news & information
- Entertain and inform the listener audience both on the air, through website blogs and through social media outlets
- Create radio station website content each week
- Write assigned Facebook posts along with other social media outlets
- Conducts on-air interviews, attends and assists in all market cluster live events
- Conducts Live Remotes and appearances as requested
Qualifications
- Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations
- Computer literacy in applicable programs and excellent verbal communication skills
- Public speaking skills and ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting
- Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing
- Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels and to multi-task and handle deadlines
- Skill in operation of control board, remote broadcasting, and other related production equipment

- Must possess a valid state driver’s license

Digital Campaign Manager - Utica
Townsquare is looking for a Digital Campaign Manager [DCM]. This role acts as the technical hub that connects sales and our centralized buying team. This is a collaborative role that assists sales in campaign structure, buying in campaign launching, and acts as the liaison between our client services team and our local markets. This position reports to the Regional Director of Campaign Management and is ultimately responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and reporting of digital campaigns. Success in this role comes in the form of accelerated sales and reduced campaign cancellations.
Responsibilities
Strategy:
- Coach & develop sales professionals on our product capabilities
- Oversee technical approval of proposals being built by our sales strategists
- Give insight and suggestions for sales for ongoing campaigns based on feedback from our buyers
Campaign Pre-Launch:
- Coaches sales on crafting quality messaging for various tactics (social, SEM, programmatic, etc.)
- Assigns targeting segments based on experience and overall tactic mix
- Delegates to sales tasks to be completed in order to fully prepare a new client campaign for launch (creative, pixels, KPIs)
- Responsible for compiling all elements of the insertion order and scheduling the campaign to be trafficked.
Campaign Post-Launch:
- Primary point of contact for local markets you support to our centralized buying, client services, and analytics teams.
- Support local market as client optimizations, revisions, upsells and renewals come in from our post-sale teams.
- Continually refine and improve continuity between all workgroups.
Qualifications

Chief Engineer - Utica at Townsquare Media
Responsible for all Technical Operations for a multi-station broadcast radio facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all Company Engineering and Information Technology practices
- Interface with Senior VP, Technology and Senior VP, Engineering
- Interface with programming and other staff to achieve desired goals
- FCC technical Rules Compliance
- Technical Department purchasing, planning and budgeting
- Studio equipment maintenance and updating
- Transmission systems and transmitter plant maintenance
- Digital storage and automation system maintenance (RCS Zetta/Nexgen experience preferred)
- Web streaming systems maintenance
- EAS systems logging compliance and equipment maintenance
- Satellite systems installation maintenance and updating
- Personal computer, servers, printers, software, LAN systems installation and maintenance
- Telephone and voicemail systems maintenance and updating
- Remote broadcast systems installation maintenance and updating
- Promotion vans and station owned vehicle maintenance
- Training and helping staff with equipment and computer issues
- Building and physical plant HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems knowledge
