'Girls' might not have taken home so much gold at the 2012 Emmy Awards, but the 2013 Golden Globes are certainly making up for it. Previously awarding 'Girls' creator, writer, director and star Lena Dunham the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical, the Golden Globes have upped the ante by awarding 'Girls' with the Best TV Series, Comedy or Musical statue. Find out what TV series didn't make the cut inside!

Lena Dunham might be having the night of her life, as 'Girls' season 2 premieres to much fanfare on HBO, while the 2013 Golden Globes have honored her for a second time tonight with Best TV Series, Comedy or Musical for her self-created series. Earlier tonight, the ceremony awarded Dunham with the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical.

Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew, Dunham once again thanked everyone from her family to Chad Lowe, and especially HBO. 'Girls' bested such series as 'The Big Bang Theory,' 'Episodes,' 'Modern Family' and 'Smash.'
