Three Oneida County school districts have the best teachers in Upstate NY, according to a recently-released ranking.

Niche.com published its annual ranking of the best school districts in the United States, breaking down the results into regions, and subcategories including safest, most diverse, and best sports.

Three districts from Oneida County made the list, with one ranking in the Top 10:

#35 Remsen Central School District:
State math test score: 47% of students proficient
State reading test score: 46% of students proficient
New York State rank: #105/689

#23 Clinton Central School District:
State math test score: 72% of students proficient
State reading test score: 62% of students proficient
New York State rank: #80/689

Breaking into the Top 10:

#6 New Hartford Central School District
State math test score: 68% of students proficient
State reading test score: 65% of students proficient
State rank: #31/689

The Hamilton Central School District in Madison County also scored well, landing at #24, with 72% of students proficient on the state math exam, and 67% of students proficient in reading. It ranked 81/389 in the state.
