Learn A New 30 Minute Meal Virtually Thanks To MVCC Of Rome
Want to learn a new recipe? MVCC's Rome Campus Chef is hosting a live 30-minute cooking demo virtually on the MVCC Facebook page.
The event will be held on Friday, April 8, from 2:30PM - 3:15PM on Facebook. You can learn this recipe for free, from the comfort of your home or kitchen.
The chef in the spotlight will be Chef Dustin Swiss. Swiss is the Technical Assistant of MVCC’s Hospitality Department. What's on the menu? Swiss will be making a roasted garlic chicken breast with crispy russet potatoes and buttered asparagus. MVCC will post the recipe prior to the live-stream so you're able to follow along.

Budding Chefs At MVCC To Offer Wednesday Takeout Lunches
Students in Mohawk Valley Community College Hospitality programs are now back in the kitchen. They are preparing Wednesday lunches for the public to purchase for takeout, complete with curbside pickup at MVCC’s Rome Campus located at 1101 Floyd Ave in Rome
The lunches, which will be available Wednesdays from April 14 through April 28, consist of a sandwich, a choice of two sides, and a bottle of water, all for $10. Orders can be placed online.
"Sandwich options are: Philly steak sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, chicken salad wrap, Reuben, or vegetable wrap.
Side options include creamed spinach, broccoli salad, French fries, mac and cheese, soup, Caesar salad, and coleslaw. As quantities are limited, it is recommended that orders be placed prior to the day of pickup."
