All aboard! Cruise ships are back to sailing and we were lucky enough to take one of the first trips on Royal Caribbean. See what vacationing on the high seas looks like during the coronavirus pandemic.

Royal Caribbean set sail on several simulation cruises to get ready to welcome back guests after a long COVID break. We were fortunate enough to be among the select few chosen to vacation on one of the test runs, sailing on the Oasis of the Seas out of New Jersey. All guests and staff on board had to be fully vaccinated and show a negative COVID test before boarding.

A lot of things are still the same - great food, wonderful entertainment, and lots of onboard activities. But there are also a lot of changes including mask-wearing, social distancing, lots of sanitizing, and fewer people on board, which allowed for more one-on-one attention and a lot less waiting.

This was our first time traveling with Royal Caribbean and after one of the best cruises we've ever taken, I'm not sure I can sail on any other cruise line. Thank you Royal Caribbean. We not only felt safe in the middle of a pandemic, but we will definitely be back.
