The Most Popular Baby Names of 2014 Are Inspired by ‘Frozen,’ ‘The Hunger Games’ + More
Ever wonder how the next generation is going to turn out? Well, it looks like they're shaping up to be a pretty kickass bunch -- at least, if their names are any indication.
UK's Baby Centre released their list of Most Popular Baby Names of 2014, and -- surprise, surprise! -- there have been a whole bunch of babies named after characters from 'Frozen,' 'The Hunger Games,' 'Game of Thrones,' 'Breaking Bad,' 'Orange Is the New Black' and more.
While we all saw the name Elsa soaring in popularity after the massive success of 'Frozen,' we weren't necessarily expecting that Olaf and Kristoff would also make the list -- but yet, there they are. (Note to self: Never underestimate the power of Disney.)
'The Hunger Games' was a pretty popular source of baby name inspo, with Effie, Primrose and Gale all coming in hot in 2014. Surprisingly, 'Breaking Bad'-themed names were also popular this year, with Walter, Skylar and Jesse making the list as well.
Not to be outdone, 'Orange Is the New Black' and 'Game of Thrones' babies were also christened in 2014, with Pipers and Daenerys(es?) also running around this year.
