The National Weather Service in Binghamton is issued frost and freeze alerts for Central New York.
A frost advisory is in effect for the counties of Oneida, Madison, Chenango, Otsego and Oswego in our listening area overnight tonight through Thursday morning.  Temperatures in these areas will flirt with the freezing point.  Flowering plants should be brought inside.

Herkimer, Hamilton, Fulton, Montgomery and Lewis counties are under a freeze warning.  With overnight lows in the lower 30s to mid-20s, tonight may spell the end of the 2011 growing season as the overnight cold is described as a 'killing frost.'
