Central New York Restaurant Lands On National List of ‘Most Romantic’

Another big honor for Central New York's The Tailor & the Cook. The Utica restaurant has made a select list of America's Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants for 2018, just in time for Valentine's Day.

This follows a separate recent accolade for the eatery. This past November The Tailor & the Cook received the Achievement of Distinction Award from the Distinguished Restaurants of North America, considered one of the top awards in the dining field.

The recent romantic distinction came from data collected from diners across America and was tabulated by OpenTable, a respected online restaurant reservation service.

Valentine's Day is all about sharing food with loved ones," said Caroline Potter, OpenTable's Chief Dining Officer, and added "this year's winning restaurants have created the ideal spots for intimate dining experiences."

The restaurant's owner and executive chef Tim Hardiman said "it's wonderful to receive this honor based on guest feedback." The Tailor & the Cook is located at 94 Genesee Street in Utica.

The Mohawk Valley gem was in good company, along with four other New York restaurants to make the list--Buffalo's Ristorante Lombardo, Russell's in Williamsville, and River Cafe and Erminia in the New York City area.
