Dog owners love to bring their furry friends with them everywhere, and they really are such good "car riders". So, you'll probably be pulling up to a drive-thru at some point with Fido in the passenger seat. What chain restaurants in the area offer doggie treats on their "secret" menu?

1 - Dunkin Donuts

America runs on Dunkin. And our dogs are Americans too. So what does Dunkin serve up for the canines? Some drive-thrus have traditional dog treats on hand, but if you're really lucky you might find a Dunkin that serves "puppy lattes" - no coffee, just some whipped cream in a cup.

2 - Starbucks

We may not have a Starbucks drive-thru in the Utica area but you'll probably encounter one at some point in your travels with Spot. If so, be sure to ask for the Puppucino. Just like Dunkin, there's no coffee but plenty of whipped cream.

3 - Tim Hortons

Coffee places and banks seem to be the most likely to keep dog biscuits in stock for your four legged friends. But Tim Horton's takes it one step further with a special sugar-free Timbit for dogs.

4 - Dairy Queen

You love ice cream and so do lots of dogs. If your pooch isn't lactose intolerant you can probably let him or her have a few licks. But next time you head to a Dairy Queen, be sure to ask for the Pup Cup. It's even free if you're ordering something for yourself.

5 - Chick-fil-A

We were excited to hear that Chick-fil-A is finally making it's way into upstate NY with stores opening in the Albany and Syracuse areas. What's even cooler is finding out that some Chick-fil-A drive-thrus serve up something other than chicken that your dog loves!

Local banks usually have doggie treats in their drive-thrus. Are there other places around town that go out of their way to cater to dogs as well as humans?
