Charlotte Russe To Close, Liquidation Sales Begin in Central New York

Another one bites the dust: retailer Charlotte Russe is closing all of its stores and liquidation sales have started.

If you're in search of a deal, now might be the time to get yourself to Sangertown Square Mall or Destiny USA to get the last of the Charlotte Russe merchandise, because liquidation sales have begun.

The sales will go on no later than April 30. Their online store has already closed.

Charlotte Russe filed for bankruptcy last month, and while the company said they were hoping to sell to a buyer who could keep the stores open - it appears that did not happen.

Charlotte Russe is one of several brick and mortar retail stores to go bankrupt, while several more have announced plans to close hundreds of stores as they struggle against online retail giants like Amazon.
