Are you looking to spend your time helping out others this year? The CPV Rescue and Sanctuary in Clinton is seeking volunteers to help out with the cats.

CPV Rescue and Sanctuary is owned and operated by Dr. Jessica Price of Clinton Pet Vet. They are a no kill shelter that relies on the generosity of caring individuals like you to help care for the lost, neglected, abused and abandoned animals of the Mohawk Valley and beyond. Our goal is to provide safety and care for all animals pending their adoption.

Volunteer duties include cleaning and sanitizing cages, laundry, providing fresh food and water, and the best part? Socializing with all the cats they have. If you're at cat lover, this is the perfect opportunity to give a little TLC to all the kitties who need homes.

If you think volunteering is for you, you must be at least 18 years of age (can be 14-17 with parental consent) and you need to be able to lift 25 pounds. You also need to be able to commit at least one day a week to volunteering from 8:30 am to 11 am.

For more information on what is required to step in and take on the role, you can always stop in and visit the rescue for yourself at 86 Meadow Street in Clinton. You can also email Mare, Director of Operations for the rescue, at MareCPVRescue@gmail.com.

The CPV Rescue and Sanctuary has many cats that are looking to be adopted. They are currently closed for the next two weeks to do a deep cleaning, but if you're interested in adopting, you can reach out to them on Facebook. They're constantly posting photos and videos of some of the cats looking for their "furever homes."
