Many of you woke up to an email from Amazon, congratulating you on a purchase from your baby registry. One problem: you aren't expecting and you don't have a registry.

Is Amazon trying to tell us to lay off the all-you-can-eat pasta at Cavallo's in New Hartford? Do these jeans make us look pregnant?

Nah.

Turns out, it was just an email glitch that sent the email out to customers, according to an Amazon spokesman who spoke to BuzzFeed:

We are notifying affected customers. A technical glitch caused us to inadvertently send a gift alert e-mail earlier today. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Across social media, reactions ranged from anger, because the email could have been upsetting to women struggling to get pregnant, to laughter from men learning they were "fathers" this way.

Now, if we could just get babies delivered via Amazon Prime, we'd be all set.
