Electric cars aren't commonplace on the streets of Central New York, but if one travels through town, there are places for them to charge.

Telsa has installed at Supercharger station at the North Utica Shopping Center, or what is colloquially called the Price Chopper Plaza on Auert Ave. Not surprising, the charging station is close to the New York State Thruway Exit 31.

There is also an electric car charging station on the campus of SUNY-IT in Marcy.

The Utica Supercharger is the second in Upstate New York. A Supercharger is also available in Albany at the Colonie Center. There are two Superchargers downstate, at JFK Airport in Queens and in Syosset on Long Island.
