Beyonce's 'Crazy in Love' is one of her signature songs but it gets a '20s Jazz Age makeover courtesy of Emeli Sande and the Bryan Ferry Orchestra for 'The Great Gatsby' soundtrack.

Since Bey offers her own take on Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black,' one that has generated its fair share of press, both negative and positive, it makes sense for another buzzed about act to offer a colorful and period-specific rendition of one of her songs.

We can just picture a bunch of dancers with flapper bobs and sparkly, fringed dresses getting down on a dancefloor to this spirited version. Sande and the BFO have given the track a complete makeover, despite the anchoring melody and those trumpets remaining in tact.

It's sorta funny how a disco-y pop song from the '00s can be totally reinvented to sound like it came out in the roaring '20s.

Nice job, Emeli.

We bet Bey approved the minute she heard it. Since her hubby Jay-Z is the producer behind the soundtrack, it's pretty much a sure bet that it went through Bey's litmus test first.
