Some people were looking forward to the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023 because they figured that it can't get any worse...right? I'm reminded of how many people couldn't wait until 2020 because 20-20 is perfect vision.

Then COVID-19 reared its ugly head in March 2020 and nothing has been the same since. So for 2023, I just want to keep my head down, be quiet and hope for the best in the new year.

McDonald's McRib Going Away In 2023

One thing that I will miss in 2023 is the McRib from McDonalds. This is one of many food items that are (supposedly) saying "so long" in the new year. My love of the McRib goes back to my days as the morning opener at McDonalds in Owego.

That was my first "real" job and I when the McRib was in season, I would eat one every day for lunch. I couldn't wait for its return and was bummed when it was taken off the menu for the season.

My mouth is watering and my stomach is growling just looking at the picture. Now its been taken off the menu (for now) but it's not the only food item that is going away in 2023. Here are some of the foods that have gone away

Fast Food Items That Are Disappearing in 2023

Wendy's Vanilla Frosty: What am I going to dip my fries into now? There is/was something special about mixing a Wendy French Fry and Vanilla Frosty together that tasted special. I know chocolate is still available but I felt like I was cheating. Before you cry in your ice cream, it may be back in 2023.

Burger King Ch'King: It had a cool title and a Ch'cult following that was growing. Burger King's explanation was that they wanted to emphasis their Whopper and simplify their menu options. I discovered this tasty gem late and sorry to see it leave.

Klondike Choco Taco: This ice cream novelty looked like a taco with reduced-fat vanilla ice cream artificially flavored fudge, peanuts and a milk chocolate coating. It was offered for a little while by some Taco Bell restaurants.

Five minutes ago, I didn't know this delicious treat existed and now I can't live without it. Good news, it could be coming back on some ice cream trucks this summer. The Choco Taco may not be dead yet.

Coca Cola Honest Tea: I'll be "honest" with you, I had never heard of this product before. None's of you were wondering what happened to this "just a tad sweet" treat. In fact, the only reason that I'm mentioning it now is because I needed a fifth  product for my list.

So what product will you miss in 2023?
