The Franklin Square Film Series is Back for 2018
You can enjoy some of your favorite movies outside, while enjoying the beautiful spring and summer weather in the Utica area. The Franklin Square Film Series has come back for another year.
If you didn't get a chance to make it out to any of the movies in Franklin Square last year, as part of their "Film Series," it looks like 2018 is your year. And they have scheduled some great movies to be shown, that you definitely don't to want to miss... And you don't want to miss enjoying these movies outside.
This is actually the third year for the Franklin Square Film Series. And this year, three films will be featured at Franklin Square Alley - All for free. Here is the schedule, according to the Franklin Square Film Series' Event Post on Facebook:
Coming In For Our Series Kickoff On Friday, June 8th, Celebrating It’s 25th Anniversary This Year Is – THE SANDLOT
Taking On Boilermaker Weekend On Saturday, July 7th, Everybody Get Up It’s Time To Slam Now Cause We Got A Real Jam Goin’ Down. It’s SPACE JAM
Flying Together Into Our Last Film On Friday, August 24th, Not Just To Fulfill Community Service Hours, Let Us Hear You Quack For THE MIGHTY DUCKS
The event is possible thanks to "Made in Utica," "Bite Bakery and Cafe," and "Nomad Cinema." You can keep updated on any changes on the schedule or for the event, by following the: Franklin Square Film Series Facebook Event Page.
Again, this is a family-friendly event and it's free to attend. Make sure you bring a few bucks if you would like to get any snacks or treats, though. Also feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit in so you're nice and comfy for the movie.
