The building that was once home to Fred Mazza's Appliances on Commerical Drive near Henderson Street near the New Hartford/Whitestown line has been demolished.

Fred Mazza World of Appliances closed in 2010 and Mazza passed away in 2011. According to an obituary published in the Utica Observer-Dispatch,

Fred Mazza kicked off his appliance business in the 1950s, first in downtown Utica on Charlotte, Bleecker and South streets. The family enterprise soon expanded into Fred Mazza World of Appliances, Inc. that operated on Commercial Drive in New Hartford and in Herkimer, as well as a cabinet store on Seneca Turnpike.
