Thrillist.com named Utica's Union Station one of the most beautiful train stations in the United States in 2015 — and it's readily apparent why once you see photographs from weddings held there.

Weddings at Utica's Union Station

The three-story classically-inspired station, opened in 1914, was designed by Allen H. Stem and Alfred Fellheimer of New York City, who also created New York City’s Grand Central Terminal and Detroit’s Michigan Central Station, according to greatamericanstations.com, which describes the beautiful interior:

The main waiting room rises to a coffered, barrel-vaulted ceiling 35 feet at its peak. The vault is supported on each side by a row of concrete and steel columns faced with Botticino marble, and the floor is made of durable terrazzo. Grey Vermont and Knoxville marbles are used on the interior wall facings and ticket windows. Long wooden benches furnish the waiting room.

Trackside Restaurant & Banquets is the only vendor permitted to host events in the train station. They have three other event spaces to accommodate parties of all sizes, and their event coordinator is committed to customizing menus and plans to your needs and budget.

Getting married or know someone who is? Setting up a consultation with Trackside Restaurant & Banquets is as easy as calling (315) 316-0228 or emailing Uticastracksiderestaurant@gmail.com.
