Hot, Dry Summer Forecast For Central New York
If you like the heat, you may be in luck this summer. According to Accuweather, our area may be in for a hot, dry summer with many days reaching at least 90 degrees.
The weather company predicts the heat will come on strong during June for the entire Northeast. Upstate New York could see temperatures averaging about 4 degrees above normal.
It's also expected that we will see more 90-degree days than usual, especially in late summer. This region averages 8 days where temperatures hit the 90-degree mark, but according to the weather service, we might see double that number this year.
Now is the time to be thinking of ways to stay cool. If you are a beach person, this could be your year.
Lets just hope the weather is picture perfect for Utica's Brews & BBQ, May 21st at Hanna Park. You can taste delicious barbecue from area food trucks, ice cold brews and enjoy music from the The Weight Band.
