What Did a House of Represenatives Court Stenographer Say During the Vote on HR 2775?
HR 2775 is the bill that reopened the government and raised the debt ceiling. The vote late in the night on October 16 was not without a very bizarre incident. House stenographer Diane Reidy calmly strode to the microphone and began to berate the house members.
Reidy appears to calmly walk up to the clerk's lecturn, exchange a few pleasantries then begin to browbeat the Members over their vote. She is physically removed from the chamber by the House's Sergeant At Arms.
