They are actually calling this a "career" fair with more than 180 businesses on hand looking to fill thousands of job openings.  It happens on Tuesday, June 6th on the campus of Onondaga Community College.

The businesses participating will be offering on-site job interviews, according to the NYS Department of Labor, there are over 6.400 job openings that need to be filled.  The fair is free, but those who plan to attend are asked to pre-register at labor.ny.gov.

According to the Department of Labor website, there are openings in the fields of health care, education, retail, manufacturing and finance.  Some of the businesses expected are Coca Cola, Fidelis Care, FedEx Ground, Pepsi, Byrne Dairy, Home Depot, New York State Thruway Authority, Rite Aid, Wegmans, ALDI, Spectrum, UPS, Ryder Transportation, Lowe's, Lockheed Martin and dozens more.
