If You’re Looking For a Summer Job The NY State Fair Is Hiring

If you're looking for a summer job, the Great New York State Fair is hiring. They look to fill 1,200 positions for jobs like security guards, bathroom attendants, cleaners and many other positions. The Great New York State Fair starts on August 22.

Hiring managers will be accepting applications and conducting interviews this today & tomorrow for these jobs. The recruitment sessions will take place at the New York State Fairgrounds (today) Thursday, June 6, from 3 to 7 p.m. and tomorrow, Friday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"These employees are the backbone of the Great New York State Fair and they keep it safe, clean and running smoothly," said Governor Andrew M. Cuomo. "I encourage anyone interested and qualified to apply for these jobs."

About 400 people have already been hired from a similar job fair held in March.

The work hours, hourly rate and duration of employment vary by assignment. Applicants may be subject to background investigation/criminal history checks. Positions for applicants under the age of 18 are limited and you're required to bring in your working papers.
