Joe Jackson, American talent manager and patriarch of the famous Jackson family, has passed away, TMZ reports.

Family reportedly told TMZ that Jackson, who was battling cancer, died at 3:30 AM in a Las Vegas hospice on Wednesday (June 27). He was 89 years old.

TMZ first broke the story that Jackson, who was born in Arkansas on July 26, 1928, had been hospitalized with terminal pancreatic cancer in June.

On June 21, Jackson's son Jermaine told the Daily Mail that his father was "very, very frail."

"He doesn’t have long. The family needs to be by his bedside — that’s our only intention in his final days," he said.

In November 2012, Jackson was hospitalized after suffering a stroke at his Las Vegas home. In July 2015, he suffered another stroke and three heart attacks, resulting in a pacemaker implant. In 2016, he was hospitalized after suffering from a high fever.

Jackson has ten children with estranged wife Katherine, and one daughter with Cheryl Terrell. He is survived by ten of his children—Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Brandon, Randy, Janet and Joh'Vonnie—as well as a reported 26 grandchildren, including Paris Jackson.

Jackson's music icon son Michael died on June 25, 2009.
