Just months after Taco Bell has started experimenting with delivery service, another fast food chain has decided to test out the same service. KFC is now offering delivery in certain areas of the country.

Busy day running the kids around? Office meeting running late, and you completely forgot about dinner? Well, KFC understands that pain and is now starting to test out a delivery service of their foods.

Last April Taco Bell made the same announcement of testing out a delivery service. Unfortunately, when testing out such a service, it's only offered to certain areas of the country. The same holds true to KFC. They will be experimenting with the service starting in California. If it goes over well, it will move to areas in Texas, including Houston. If it continues to do well, home delivery of KFC could be a possibility for the rest of the United States.

There are some up sides and down sides to having KFC delivered to your home, however. According to the Independent Journal,

All menu items will be available for delivery, though the price of some items may increase. However, the new service isn’t a cheap one — the delivery fee will reportedly be between $4.99 and $6.99.

KFC is a part of the 'Yum Brands,' which also owns Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, so it's no wonder after Taco Bell started experimenting with home delivery that KFC would follow suit. Now it will be the waiting game to see if the delivery service goes over well, and if it will be picked up across the country.
