It might not be parents who are the best ones to be driving around their kids.  A surprising new study found that grandparents may be the better drivers.

The study, which was led by an emergency specialist from Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, found that children's risk of injuries was fifty percent lower when grandparents were behind the wheel vs parents doing the driving.  The study did not look at the number of crashes but rather injuries.  The average age of the grandparents in the study was 58 and some researchers theorize that grandparents are more cautious when driving around with their grandchildren.  I have no doubt that parents and grandparents will have a strong opinion on this study.
