Legendary Motown Star Will Perform At Turning Stone
He was one of the first acts signed to Motown Records, and his career has spanned over 50 years. The Motown legend Smokey Robinson will perform at Turning Stone's Event Center on July 14th.
Smokey scored dozens of hits in the 1960's with his group The Miracles, including the number one song "Tears of a Clown." He went solo in the early 70's, and wrote and sang several more huge hits. His most recent top 10 was "One Heartbeat" released in 1987.
Smokey Robinson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and also won Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Award. Robinson served as Vice President of Motown Records for several years in the 1980's.
According to Smokeyrobinson.com, tickets for the July 14th show go on sale on Wednesday, May 10th at 10 am. Prices range from $55 to $87.
