
Popular Central New York BBQ Restaurant Suddenly Closes Location
Fans of Limp Lizard Roadside Cantina are saying goodbye to another local restaurant location after the business announced it is closing effective immediately due to ongoing staffing shortages.
In a statement shared with customers, the restaurant said the decision was “not an easy choice” and came after exhausting efforts to continue operating while maintaining the level of service guests expected.
Limp Lizard Says Staffing Challenges Forced Closure
According to the announcement, consistent staffing shortages made it impossible for the restaurant to operate sustainably.

The restaurant thanked loyal customers, employees, and supporters who helped make the business part of countless celebrations, date nights, family dinners, and everyday memories over the years.
Catering Orders Will Still Be Honored
The restaurant confirmed that previously booked catering orders will still move forward as scheduled.
Customers with future catering questions or needs are being asked to call 315-472-7831.
Gift Cards Still Accepted At Syracuse Location
Customers who still have gift cards won’t lose them.
The business said all gift cards will continue to be honored at Limp Lizard Bar & Grill, located at 4628 Onondaga Blvd, Syracuse, which remains open seven days a week.

The Syracuse location says it will continue serving its barbecue favorites while welcoming customers from the now-closed restaurant.
The closure is another reminder of the ongoing staffing and operational struggles many restaurants across New York and Central New York continue to face.
