Major Regional Karaoke Contest Comes To Vernon Downs

A chance to sing for your share of $2,500 happens at Vernon Downs as Rockokie, the karaoke-singing contest comes to Ring Eyed Pete's Bar.  It's a regional competition and tryouts begin on Thursday, March 2nd.

If you'd like to be part of it, you need to be at least 18, and have a Vernon Downs player card.  Tryouts are from 5 until 8 on Thursday, and the top 20 contestants will move on to compete in the actual competition.  Those contests will be held each Thursday from March 9th through the 30th.  After that, the top 5 will compete in the Rockokie finals on April 6th.

Even you don't choose to compete this time, you're welcome to watch the contestants perform each Thursday from 6 'til 8 p.m.
