Police officers in Washington State have seen lots of clever attempts at being outwitted, but they've never witnessed anything like this!

Carpool lanes are reserved strictly for drivers with passengers. A man in Washington was aware of this law but he attempted to outsmart police officers by speeding down the carpool lane with a make shift "passenger."

The man who violated the HOV (high occupancy vehicle) lane law was cited for........wait for it......., using a cardboard cutout of Jonathon Goldsmith, the actor who plays "The Most Interesting Man in the World" in the Dos Equis commercials. When the officer got done laughing he asked the driver asked why he chose such an "interesting" decoy. He responded: "He's my best friend."

The policeman didn't take away the gentleman's cardboard friend but he was told to stop using it. The trooper also tweeted this:

 “I don’t always violate the HOV lane law … but when I do, I get a $124 ticket.” (Q13FOX.COM)

People have been attempting to skirt the HOV law for years. Sometimes they're lucky enough to get away with it, and other times they're not so fortunate. Perhaps we could all learn an important lesson from the guy in this video. Remember, only dummies use dummies.
