An elderly man was killed in an early morning house fire on Dudley Avenue in Utica.
The fire at 1226 Dudley Ave was reported at about 2:45 this morning.

96-year old Nathaniel Collins was sleeping in his bed on the second-floor.

Utica Fire Chief Russell Brooks says as firefighters battled the blaze, the second floor collapsed and crews had to pull out.  When they went back in, they found Collins dead.
